History
Cybelius Software was originally founded in 1998.
The company traces its origins to active research cooperation
between commercial and academic organizations in the Oulu
region. Located in Northern Finland, Oulu is a world-renowned
technology center for wireless telecommunications. Cybelius
Software's products have grown out of virtual reality prototyping
and virtual design research started in 1996 by VTT Electronics,
a part of the Technical Research Center of Finland and the
University of Oulu. In 1998 Cybelius Software introduced 3D
visualization and modeling tools that formed the basis for
the Cybelius Conductor™ platform. In 2001 the company introduced
a major new design tool, Cybelius Maestro™ that was developed
in cooperation with VTT Electronics and Nokia Mobile Phones.
Since 2008 Cybelius Software has been a subsidiary of Nickom Ltd.
