Cybelius Maestro - the integrated product simulation, development and testing environment - introduces a revolutionary tool platform that does not only support several product development tasks and phases, but ensures more effective integration of product development and its results to other company operations, like marketing, web commerce and customer support.

The basis of Cybelius Maestro lies in extensive national and international research projects. The tool has been developed in cooperation with Nokia and VTT the Technical Research Center of Finland. Nokia has also taken Cybelius Maestro for its own use, as it fits in with the company's vision of user-oriented product design.

The main characteristics:

  • Cybelius Maestro has a strong focus on wireless telecommunications-, and consumer electronics. This is not only because of the team's own expertise in the area, but also thanks to the strong partners we are working with in this field.

  • Cybelius Maestro incorporates extensive user interface (UI) design, simulation and visualization capabilities. It recognizes and supports usability and user satisfaction - the key competitive factors in consumer electronics and telecommunications.

  • Cybelius Maestro enables the creating of fully functional product and service simulations. The simulations can be created of single devices and of heterogeneous intelligent environments. The environments can consist of several communicating networks, devices, sensors and services.

  • Cybelius Maestro introduces a unique open tool architecture. A Plug-in Tool Bus extends Cybelius Maestro to support new plug-in tools for customized design tasks. Connectivity Framework provides a unified connectivity interface for external simulation components, such as various software components, external simulation systems and tools, and real hardware components. See Maestro Simulation Architecture figure on the right.

  • Cybelius Maestro strongly utilizes Java technology. As the importance of Java in the future is likely to increase, Cybelius Maestro is ready to support Java-based telecommunications and electronics devices.
